Little Chester Allotment Association

We are an allotment site covering 10.8 acres and currently offering 169 plots, the allotments are well used and have excellent on-site facilities.

Our plot holders are diverse in age, nationality and experience and this gives the site a unique feeling of community and range of produce being grown!

The allotments primarily serve the residents of the surrounding areas of; Derwent Heights, Chaddesden, Chester Green and Oakwood. However this should not deter people applying from outside these areas, providing time and travel permits.

Owned
The site is owned by Derby City Council, the site is leased by Little Chester Allotment Association and managed by an elected Committee. The Committee work hard to ensure all members are able to enjoy recreational gardening to the maximum, in a safe and supportive environment.

Facilities.
We have excellent facilities including a toilet block with electric lights and flush toilets. There is also an outside area and adjacent community room where you can make hot drinks. The area is accessible via a wheelchair friendly ramp to allow access for everyone.
In the summer, we have open days, plant sales and BBQs among other things.

Where we are.
Little Chester Allotments are located just off Old Mansfield Road, Derby. Our main entrance is through the car park just by the sharp bend at the bottom of the hill.
